Privacy policy
Dev Feedback Capture is a local-first browser extension. Captures stay on your device unless you explicitly export them.
Information the extension handles
When you start a capture, the extension may process the current page URL and title, selected element details, visible page text and styles, screenshots, crop coordinates, annotations, notes, acceptance criteria, and browser or viewport context. This information can include website content and browsing activity because it describes the page you chose to review.
How information is used
The extension uses captured information only to create, display, store, and export visual change specifications requested by the user. It does not use captured content for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated analytics.
Storage and retention
Saved feedback is stored locally through Chromium extension storage. Transient full-viewport screenshots used during region capture are discarded after the capture workflow. Saved items remain until you delete them in History, clear the extension data, or uninstall the extension.
Sharing and transmission
The extension does not send captured page content to FlyingChanges Code, Monroe Stone, an advertising service, or an analytics provider. You can explicitly download or copy JSON, HTML, Markdown, prompts, reports, and evidence bundles. Once you share an export, the destination you choose controls that copy.
The optional local MCP companion is separate software that runs on your computer. It reads only files you explicitly import. Content requested through MCP is delivered to the MCP client you configured; a cloud-backed client may transmit that content under its own provider policies.
Browser permissions
Data security and Limited Use
Dev Feedback Capture requests the narrowest permissions needed for its user-facing capture workflow. Its use of information received from browser APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
You decide when capture starts, what area or element is saved, what notes are added, and whether anything is exported. You can delete individual captures or clear a site's saved history from the History page.
Policy changes
If a future release changes how user data is handled, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before that behavior is released.
Contact and support
Questions, deletion help, or security reports can be sent to monroe@flyingchangesfarm.net.
